Pexels PageMy photography journey began unexpectedly. My younger sister had just gotten married and was planning an Alaskan honeymoon cruise. She bought a camera online for the trip, but the shipment was delayed, and she needed a new one in a hurry. As the good big brother I am, I stepped in to buy the camera from her, with the idea that I would use it on my future trips. What started as a simple act of helping my sister sparked a deep passion I never saw coming. From there, I started traveling more and capturing the beauty of the world around me—from the Grand Canyon to Santorini, and the rainforests of Costa Rica.
Self-taught in both photography and photo editing, I’ve spent years refining my skills and building my personal style. I’ve used tools like Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture One to perfect my images, always focusing on composition, lighting, and the emotions each photo evokes. My photos are carefully crafted, capturing not just landscapes but the moments that make those places come alive. Whether I’m exploring a tropical island or hiking through mountains, I approach every photo with the goal of telling a story—one that others can experience through the image.
With over 145.5 million views and more than 600 photos featured on Pexels, my work has earned recognition across multiple platforms. Photography has been a crucial way for me to refine my design thinking and attention to detail. It has sharpened my visual communication skills, allowing me to convey emotions and narratives through images. Each shot, whether a stunning landscape or a candid moment, is an opportunity to improve my eye for composition and design. This journey has taught me the importance of patience, precision, and vision—all qualities that carry over into my work as a UX/UI designer. Photography has allowed me to approach my projects with the same mindset: always focusing on the big picture while paying attention to the finer details.
Gotta Be Worth It represents more than just a portfolio of photos—it embodies a mindset, a way of seeing the world and sharing those experiences with others. Photography, for me, is about capturing moments that are worth remembering and creating visual narratives that leave a lasting impact.
